What is Australia Skill-select EOI
An expression of interest (EOI) is an application method of showing your interest in applying for a skilled visa for immigrating to Australia.
You select the visa type and submit your family, education, employment details and wait for the invitation to finally apply for visa.
State sponsorship or State nomination
State nomination gives you extra points on the Department of Home Affairs points test, which is automatically incorporated into your expression of interest in the Home Affairs SkillSelect database or it’s required to apply separately upon the submission of an EOI. You can be nominated for:
- The Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and receive an extra five points; or
- The Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) and receive an extra 15 points.
